Sessions

Terms of Use

Last updated September 6, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to the Sessions iPhone app and website. By using Sessions, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or website.

1. What Sessions provides

Sessions helps you record or import audio, create transcripts, organize notes, generate summaries and action items, search saved material, and export work to destinations you choose.

Sessions is under active development. Features, compatibility, and availability may change before or after release.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into these terms where you live. If you use Sessions for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

3. License

Subject to these terms and any applicable App Store rules, Sessions grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control.

You may not copy, sell, rent, sublicense, distribute, reverse engineer, bypass security or usage controls, or create a competing service from Sessions except where applicable law expressly permits it.

4. Your content

You retain your rights in the recordings, notes, transcripts, summaries, action items, and other content you create or import. These terms do not transfer ownership of that content to Sessions.

You are responsible for your content, your device backups, and any destination to which you export or share content. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to use content with Sessions.

5. Recording responsibilities

Laws and workplace, school, or community rules may require notice or consent before recording a conversation. You are responsible for determining and following the rules that apply to you.

Do not use Sessions to record, retain, or share another person’s private information unlawfully or without any required consent. Sessions does not provide legal advice or determine whether a recording is lawful.

6. Acceptable use

You may not use Sessions to:

  • break the law or violate another person’s rights;
  • harass, threaten, exploit, or deceive another person;
  • distribute malware or interfere with the app, website, or network;
  • bypass safeguards or probe systems without written permission; or
  • use outputs as a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice.

7. Transcription and generated content

Sessions uses on-device frameworks and may offer optional cloud processing after the applicable disclosure and agreement. These features produce transcripts, summaries, action items, and assistant answers. Generated content can be incomplete or incorrect. Review important results against the original recording or source material before relying on them.

Sessions is not an emergency service and should not be used where an incorrect or delayed result could create a risk of serious harm.

8. Third-party services

Apple, Google sign-in where available, the App Store, device backups, infrastructure and processing providers, and destinations you select for sharing or export are third-party services. The Privacy Policy describes the information used by optional account and cloud features. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Sessions is not responsible for a third party’s availability, security, or handling of content you send to it.

9. Purchases and subscriptions

Sessions does not currently offer a public paid plan. If purchases or subscriptions are introduced, the price, renewal terms, cancellation process, and available features will be shown before purchase and these terms will be updated as needed.

10. Intellectual property and feedback

Sessions and its software, interface, brand, and original materials are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited license above, no right in Sessions is granted to you.

If you voluntarily provide product feedback, you allow Sessions to use it to evaluate and improve the product without payment or an obligation to adopt it. This does not give Sessions ownership of your private app content.

11. Updates, suspension, and ending use

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features to maintain, secure, or improve Sessions. You may stop using Sessions at any time and remove it from your device.

Access may be restricted if you materially violate these terms or use the product in a way that creates legal, security, or safety risk. Removing the app may delete local content that has not been exported or preserved in a device backup.

12. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sessions is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise that the product will always be uninterrupted, error-free, compatible with every device, or suitable for every purpose.

Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sessions will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, or opportunity arising from use of the product.

This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited. Final liability language and any monetary cap will be completed before public release.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Sessions changes. The updated page will show a new date. Material changes will receive reasonable notice before they take effect where required.
